about

​            A “southpaw” and a “Buckeye,” Margaret is left-handed and from Ohio. As a girl, she could be found reading a book or writing. Margaret had one essay published by the time she began attending high school.
          After Margaret graduated from college, she pursued her writing pursuits by teaching her elementary students how to write creatively. Some of her students even won school and district awards! 
         After finishing graduate school, Margaret returned to her love for writing. Now, she has more than thirty-five published articles and stories, some of which have appeared in a textbook for educators, Clubhouse, Clubhouse Jr., Brio, Brighthub, and LiveStrong. She has authored, Music: The Sound of Science—a nonfiction children’s book published by Rourke Educational Media.
            Margaret enjoys speaking at universities, schools, and writer groups. She especially enjoys presenting how to integrate the arts into the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) curriculum.
            Margaret resides in Southern California with her husband and her dog. She is surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
